AMA: I'm A Male Sex Worker
ShareAs a male massage therapist (erotic) I get asked a lot of questions about what I do and what goes on. So I thought I'd answer some of the most frequently asked questions in a blog post. And as always, you can message me if you have another question!
Do you enjoy what you do?
Absolutely. I love getting naked, being intimate with people, and giving pleasure, so being an erotic massage therapist allows me to do all those things. And I’ve had some wonderful experiences. I’ve had countless curious men come to see me for a safe way to ease into trying things with men. For some people I’m their only male sexual outlet. For many of my clients, I am the only person they've ever told about their male-male attractions. I have several regular clients who almost treat it like a mini-counseling session along with a massage. I’ve had couples, I've had people who haven’t been able to orgasm, all kinds of things. It's a privilege and honour to help these people
Sounds like a dream job!
I definitely enjoy it, but it’s not all glamor. I’ve got hundreds of clients so it can get tiring. Plus sometimes there can be expectations from clients that are unrealistic (eg. that I’m rock hard 24/7 for everybody, or that they're going to get a free fuck with their massage)
Is there anything you dislike about it?
My pet hate is no shows. I understand that life happens and sometimes we need to cancel appointments, that’s fine. But when people book an appointment and then just don’t turn up, that frustrates me. Once they’ve booked an appointment, I have to start turning other people away, so it just wastes everyone’s time. Also, occasionally I do get yucky (dirty) clients, but thankfully that doesn’t happen too often
Have you ever had a client cross boundaries?
Absolutely. I’ve had clients try to force me to kiss them, try to stick their fingers up my ass, or perform other acts and I’ve had to cut the massage short. Unfortunately a very small percentage of people think that because they’re paying me they can do whatever they like to me. But I feel confident in being able to handle myself and those situations
How do you stay so fit, lol
It’s not rocket science. Eat well and exercise regularly. But yes I’ve probably got some good genetics thrown in there too. If I had to give one bit of advice, I think people underestimate the effect sugar (eg. fizzy drinks), grains, and carbs in general have. You can exercise as much as you like, but if these are in your diet you’re going to battle with weight and health issues. We all do.
Is it something you’ll do long term?
It’s not a profession you can do forever unfortunately. As my body gets older, less attractive, and starts to hurt more and more, I’ll eventually have to give it away, or adapt.
